Detective Conan Volume

If you remember, I had an article in 2012 about the end date of publication of Detective Conan manga in Japan. At that time, I placed the end of the manga to 2016-2018, or 2020 in the worst case. But since 2012, he is passed, things, in the world of detective ... so now it's time ... to give a real date at the end of Detective Conan.

As I often repeat right now, Detective Conan is a long manga. And as every long manga, it is divided into 'story arcs' ', which are named after the main character or the' 'center of attention' of the arc.

The Arch of Conan lasted until the appearance of Haibara, the Arch of Haibs' began when started talking Vermouth, Kir Arc ends when Vermouth was beaten at the end of his bow The Arc de Bourbon took when we talked about it for the first time, to [no-spoil]. Each arc lasts more or less time:

Arc Conan: Volume 1-18
Arc Haibara: Volume 18-24
Arc Vermouth: Volume 24-42
Arc of Phone: Volume 42-47
Arc Kir: Volume 48-60
Arc Bourbon: Volume 60-85

Resulting in the order, bows lasted 18 volumes, 6 volumes, 18 volumes, jump the Arc of Mobile Phone and 12 volumes and 25 volumes. The Arc of TP was skipped because it is only a '' bridge '' between the Arc de V. and the Arc de Kir.

What catches the eye is the most pretty phenomenal length of the Arc de Bourbon, which dominates in many volumes, all other arcs. It took about 8 long years has extended the end date of Conan over 4 years compared to what was expected '' at the base 'by Gosho, and spawned an additional arc, so I not speak, not spoiler.

Conan is a very popular series, whether animated or manga, she sells many tomes (little compared to other licenses, much compared to others), and his cartoon is every week- or almost- in the top 3 most watched animated in Japan, exceeding the transition Naruto, One Piece, Pokemon, to name a few.

Thus, it is clear that the main interest of the publishers is to keep the series alive and in good condition, to perform the more sales and make more profits. While it is certain that the anime will continue only on fillers episodes from the end of Detective Conan, and we're ready for a Conan film a year for the next 20 years, the manga, it is another matter .

Despite assistants Gosho, Gosho is the only one able to continue although his world, and to have this near-absolute control of his characters, and he knows also create interesting business, and this is where his assistants fail mainly. Thus, even if publishers leave assistants (or even forcing, in my opinion), to do a parallel series Conan, Tokubetsu-Hen, I doubt they will let the assistants write and draw the end of Conan, which will be certainly an event-publicized.

Moreover, the Shonen Sunday manga in which appears in the prepublication files (chapters) Conan is lack of licenses that sell a lot, and DC is its series that sell the most manga (with Silver Spoon, but still far behind), contrary to their conccurent, Shonen Jump, fueled, and offers content that is generally better known and appreciated by the public otaku.

It is in this singular marketing climate we ask the question: when will eventually Detective Conan? And for that, I'll answer some questions.

Conan he will finish in less than 4 years! → No.

Gosho will he finish the series before dying? → It is possible, see below explanation.

Assistants they will resume the series once Gosho be dead / retired? → Pretty unlikely, but they will continue Tokubetsu Hen as they can.

The first question says it all. How's that DC does not finish in 4 years?

Already, pressure from publishers who want to make money because their manga is in the process of dying.

Then the arc current. The Arc de Bourbon lasted 8 years and under strong criticism, and a decline in popularity of the series, so the editors know well that they will no longer make such errors lengthwise. So they are working on a few more bows, say 4 arcs each maximum 4 years, only two arcs of 8, for example.

The editor is the person who, in the Queues and narrative arcs DC, ALL rights. It checks each queue before publication, he said to Gosho what he wants to see in future files, he decided to come to no Heiji, and he decides when will the confrontations against the Men in Black (and if Gosho had really been in control, in my opinion, Scarlet Showdown, we would have been there's 3 years .... * cough *). If the publisher wants to extend the range of 5 years, then so be it, it will be. Gosho has the final quite a few right, and nothing but rebellion is not really in the mentality of Japanese, often quite respectful of the rules.

Then the arcs. Just read the last lines (I said, still no spoil in the article, of course), and one can easily understand. Gosho seen what got us into the last row, which concludes the Arc de Bourbon, one can say that DC is easily moved on to an arc of about 4 years, 6 maximum. To calculate this, it is based on the following factors:

1 Time to gather clues about the new member: 2 years.
2- confrontation time: 1 year.
3- unnecessary Investigations Detective Boys with barbecue: 1 year.

If based on this scheme, then 2 + 1 + 1 = 4 years or 6 years if Gosho made more random surveys and he continued on the frame '' Will Akai Family '', which is possible. Thus, about 5 years, cut the pear in half for this arc then.

Then, still without spoiler, given the central character of the arc in which we have just got back, it is almost certain Ano Kata will be the focus of the next arc. For many, we entered the 'final phase' 'Conan the final stretch on a large scale. If the current arc, which will lead us to Ano Kata is 5 years, then we will be in 2019. If we say that the Arc Ano Kata lasts a little longer than other previous arcs, about a year, then we have a final bow 5/6 years, which gives us 2025. Let's push the corner, and it was the end of Conan in 2028. So it will take some time! P

I will discuss in a future article '' why we enter the final phase of Detective Conan ', but once again, as the line 989 will not be released in full on the KP, the article may not be published, so it will be. ^^
